Just Make a call to your Customer Care Department ...
Tell them that you want GPRS Settings ...(In some networks GPRS is free and in some they will charge you so even confirm about the charges)
they will send you some Settings message ....Save the message
Then select options >> set as Default >> yes
You are done ....

If you have Postpaid connection then you have to go to Customer service centre of your area and apply there and get GPRS activated on your SIM.
If you had a prepaid connection GPRS is already activated there.
Now for Settings of GPRS - >
Go to bsnl.co.in -> in services go to BSNL Mobile then GPRS/MMS/WAP->Scroll down the page and click on CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD GPRS/MMS/WAP setting
In this window
1 > for manual setting - click on Basic details of device settings for manual configuration -> select EAST ZONE as u r in kolkatta -- u will get basic setting for ur mobile......this will solve ur problem ...do remember to keep ur mobile data communication setting on GSM not on 3G/UMTS.
2> for automatic setting select the east zone ...u will get the details there which is self expalnatory

Hi,
1. The phone may not have enough memory to save the message. This may be one of the problems. You say that you have just formatted the phone and card memory. The memory card may not be formatted well. Be sure that the memory card in the phone is accessible and can be read.
And you say that you formatted the a few days ago. Maybe it is full. Please check it. Because your downloaded messages may need extra space.Check the message settings where to save.
2. The other problem may be the multimedia message settings.
- Select Messages > Options > Settings > Multimedia message.
- Check the settings for multimedia messaging. It must be defined correctly and be sure that there is no mistake in phone numbers and addresses.
3. If you installed any application and even if you installed that application to PC or memory card, the installation files (.sis) of applications that are stored in the phone memory remain in the memory. Remove such installation files from the device memory.
After backing up the installation files if there is any, delete the installation files using file manager.
Hope this helps.
