search the camera name in local disk C, otherwise using control panel uninstall it. and reinstall it. while installing read and understand every agreements they are asking for it. And also while installing there will be an option to create shortcut of the software in desktop.

If you want the full version on CD or a product key so you can download the full version, you must purchase the program from Nikon or an authorized dealer.
You can download pro software from your local Nikon site: as an example for example: www.nikon.co.uk, i don't know where you are in the world so i use the uk site as an example only. You should use the nikon site in your area.
Then go to software downloads and you can then down load Capture NX or Capture NX2, however please note that what you are downloading is a 60 day trial version and after that you will have to pay for it.

Capture NX is not supported on Windows7. You'll have to upgrade to the current version of Capture NX2. If you're already using an older version of NX2, the same applies.
Nikon Capture when initially installed you have to tell it what types of files to open.... IT has 3 tick boxes for NEF (Nikon Raw Files), TIFF, & JPEg, you actually have to tell it which types you want NX to open. The easiest way to fix the problem maybe to reinstall the program and reset the file association as you install it.
