There is a PC/DTV RGB input area with two audio jack inputs.  The input is a standard 15 pin PC jack. Hook it up to your PC video card input.  You can get the audio cable from Best Buy or a electronics store...split RCA on one end and the headphone jacks on the other to your PC. Then select the TV/Video source button on your remote until you see PC/DTV YPbPr screen appear.  It will search for the signal, find your PC and display the screen. You may have to go to MENUE on your remote to adjust the HDTV (1080i) frequency.... an option that only appears if there is something hooked up to the PC/DTV RGB signal input.

Connect pc to toshiba 40bv700b television as a second monitor

The easiest way is just run a HDMI cable from your pc to the TV. Then just change the display settings on your PC to enable the second monitor feature. Change the TV input to the HDMI port that the PC is hooked up to. And you should be ready to go.

Hello.im from malaysia..i have using 42" LG LCD tv..when i see info..i feel confuse because at box it say Full HD 1080p ready but when i see info, it only 1080i 50hz..how can i change this?

You do not change the resolution at the TV, the vidoe/signal sources will dictate what it will display on the TV, if it is fed with 1080i it will display 1080i. If you want 1080p, your video source will have to be 1080p. It works the same as your PC monitor, you adjust the resolution at the PC, not at the monitor.
I hope I explain it well enough.

Trying to hook my home PC into my LG TV gets me the message Invalid Format, what can I do to get the signal or can i use this tv for my monitor with a dell PC

Connect VGA (D-sub 15 pin) cable from PC to TV (RGB PC) input jack. Connect audio cable from PC to TV. Set screen resolution on PC to be compatible with TV, such as 800 X 600 or 1024 X 768 etc. Select on the TV, the PC INPUT using the TV remote when ready to use as monitor.

Under PICTURE on the TV select SCREEN (RGB-PC). You can AUTO-CONFIG or you can set resolution manually to the same you set PC to. Other adjustments can be done here as well to get optimum picture on TV from PC.

I don't have problem just a question can a tec view be used as a computer monitor? where can i get a remote

Look for a port labeled 'VGA' on the back or sides of your TV. Also, compare the ports on your TV to the port on your current PC monitor and if you see on your TV a port that matches the one on your current monitor, then you can use your TV as a PC monitor.

What wires / connections do i need to run my home pc through the t.v

Depends on what hookups the Tv and PC have. Newer laptops have a HDMI jack, otherwise the external monitor jack will do. Then the TV must have a monitor hookup. Most likely not. So then you'll need some type of a conversion cable to go from PC to TV. Check your local Best Buy for the cable.

Limited monitor resolutions

By plugging into the tv you created an additional monitor profile. You will need to go to the resolution page and open the advanced button, from here set the monitor to the laptop screen versus the vga tv. There is also a troubleshoot button that can be useful.
