TV does not autotune to all stations and does not store stations

The TV tuner appears to be unstable. Although it appears to scan through the spectrum during the Autotune process, the TV does not store all of the stations. If you switch the TV off, it loses all its stations and you have to re-tune it.

The set has a EPROM somewhere that stores that info--either a stand alone one or one incorporated into the microprocessor the set uses.

The tuner if bad likely will not cause it to "forget" stored channels.

A possible way AROUND this would be the use of a cable/sat box connected to rear inputs on the set---you would sit on that input and change channels via the box which can usually be programmed to skip up/down channels you do not want---straight around the issue.

Remote code to re-enter stations

I believe this is a tv question although in the car audio category. I apologize in advance if it is not.

Codes are generally consistent within brands but not between brands. That tends to mean one has to know the brand and model of the remote and brand and model of the tv. However, I have links to A. Universal remotes B. Spectrum remotes C. DirectTV remotes. Here goes:

I have just bought a pure radio Elan E3 when I switch on it says no stations found

FM radio settings
Note: You can only see the FM radio settings when you have selected ‘FM’ as the radio source.
FM stereo option
You can choose between stereo or mono reception when listening to FM radio. Mono may improve
clarity where stereo signals are weak.
To change between Stereo or Mono reception:
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Turn and press the Select dial to choose ‘Audio Setting’.
3. Select between ‘Stereo Allowed’ or ‘Forced Mono’.
FM scan
You can choose whether your Elan E3 automatically stops at the next available FM station or the next
available FM station with a strong signal when scanning for an FM station. To change the FM scan
setting:
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Turn and press the Select dial to choose ‘Scan Setting’.
3. Select between ‘Strong Stations Only’ or ‘All Stations’.

DAB settings
Note: You can only see the DAB settings when you have selected ‘DAB’ as the radio source.
Full scan
You can use the ‘Full Scan’ (autotune) function to automatically scan for new digital radio stations and
remove inactive ones.
To carry out an autotune:
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Turn and press the Select dial to choose ‘Full Scan’.The number of stations found will be
displayed during the autotune.
When the autotune has finished, your Elan E3 will tune to the last station that you were listening to. If the
last station you were listening to is no longer available, your Elan E3 will tune into the first station in the
alphabetical list.
Manual tuning
To manually check the signal strength of a known channel:
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Turn and press the Select dial to choose ‘Manual tune’.

Dewalt DSCN1360 tuner problem

Don't you have an automatic tuning system or ATS? By pressing a band switch for a while the ATS starts looking for stations and stores the ones that have a good enough signal. Even if a station broadcasts but the location of the radio is not adequate for a good signal to be received, the station won't register and it will appear to you that the tuner is skipping.

Does this product have a built in digital to analog converter?

This tv incorperates a full digital PLL tuner. It does not need a digital to analog coverter since analog signals is no longer used. All tv stations now broadcast with digital signal. It will receive local broadcast stations just connect a goood quality antenna to the tv. You will need to do a scan and the tv will store all of your local broadcasting stations within range. An outdoor antenna works best for digital signals.

How to preset the tuner radio stations

All you need is to use the AUTO search mode or the MANUAL search mode so as to scan the spectrum for the available channels. Once a station is detected then you can select the preset postion and memorise by holding down the preset number after the channel is selected.

No picture on TV and can't get autotune table up

The TV is obsolete now.

You could go to Best buy and get a digital tuner.

I got one. Actually worth it. Perfect picture, but its like letterboxed.

You could subscribe to Basic cable.

I'm finding it strange that this far into the situation, that people don't understand
that their tuners are useless now.

Get a digital tuner.

Or a Brand NEW High Definition TV!!!!!

How do I get my tv to scan the digital channels? I have used the channel scan and it will not let me scrowl over to scan them . I do not have a digital box but was told that this tv has one bilt in.

Hi
Although your TV is hd ready, it does not come with a digital tuner built into it.
You will have to add an external tuner box to receive digital broadcast stations.
I don't suggest getting one of the cheap ones, as the only provide an SD signal at 480p, clear compared to old analog tv, which was usually 320, but still a far cry from 1080p.

A good tuner box should only run around 60-70 dollars or so, and the picture quality will amaze you on your 51F510.

The tv has a 1080p engine built into it, so if it receives an input with a 1080 signal, it can display it properly.

Cheaper boxes may only offer 720p as it's highest definition output, so get the better box.

You can find them at all major electronics stores, like Fry's and Best Buy.

Hopefully, you do get a digital box for your set, it would be a shame to not get the most out of what is arguably the best quality rear projection tv that was ever made.

I hope this helps you out.

Feel free to give me a top rating if I helped you out, it helps to keep my status up on Fixya.

Thanks, and have a good day !

How can i autotune my soney trinitron tv iv lost the manual

Hello
Enter menu, and select the [autotune or auto search] function with the help of Prog+ Prog- and Vol+ and Vol- buttons. After that function highlighted press Vol+ button once and release. The TV will tune and store automatically in its memory, all the transmitting stations at that time, and after tuned the entire band it will finish tuning and will display the first channel. You must select auto tune for this. Not manual tune or fine tune functions. A horizontal bar will run across the bottom side of the screen indicating that the tuning process is in progress, and it will reset three times to zero and will continue tuning. It is due to the auto band selection is done inside the microcomputer of the tv. No other functions will response anymore, till autotune process is completed. Ok.

19 in blue screen only sound works great

blue screen is the noise mute screen. however the audio is not getting muted and hence the buzzing....meaning the tuner on the TV is not getting locked on to the station/frequency

1. check your antenna if you are using one. Autotune
OR
2. Reconnect coax from the cable box to Tv and autotune.
OR
3.Use the Video out from the cable box and connect it to one of the video inputs on the TV. Switch your Tv to that component. Use the cable box to change channels (Best case scenerio)
