When using the menu it has the set chanel option but will not let me chose it, it also has picture language and vchip set as options and i can chose those but it will not let me pick chanel set
Change your memory ic ( 8 pin ic ) or" reprogram your memory ic.channel store problem solve 100%.

The only way your going to change the video mode is with the original remote. If you need another remote go to http://remotes.com or call 1800 remotes Theres a button on the upper left hand side of the remote called video mode. A universal most of the time will not work this function. You could ask around to your friends and buddies or relitives if anyone has a working Sanyo remote or go to a local retailer that sells Sanyo and see if he would let you borrow one for a little while so you can switch out of the video mode. 1. Hit the Menu button on the TV.
2. 'INPUT SECRET No.' should appear.
3. Press and hold both VOL (+) and CH DOWN on the TV set simultaneously until the message 'INPUT SECRET No.' disappears.
4. The vchip settings should be disabled now and the Parental controls menu should be presented, 'disable' Status if need be

It has to reset everything.then try remote,when it starts to work,set new pin code.use your instruction book,to set all blocks to N,,Clear all favorite channels + erase channels in tv 's memory if there in there yet,takes a lot of time.it will keep resetting,remote won't work.let it run awhile. then push exit, hold 5 to 10 seconds remote will eventually come back,check your settings reset them, be sure menu is set to STOP, it may start running threw all its modes again,let run couple hrs, then push exit 5 to 10 seconds to get your remote back.keep trying this. when you think the tv is working right,turn it off for 10 seconds then back on. If it starts resetting, let it run an hr,then push exit again to get your remote back,it has to reset everything,keep trying, took me 3DAYS to get it right!!!!!!!!! the only thing I don't have working is the pic size button,Don't need that anyway. okay here is a soluton for the remote www.remotes.com since you did not have to pay me you can use the money there there under$20 bucks and there orginal factory remotes otherwise you need a good unviersal remote.

to your channels. 92 is S-video. It is helpful to have what ever device (dvd player or game console) hooked up and powered on, so you know when you are on the right channel, but it should be 91.

i figured it out. felt like a dummy. i was accessing the menu from the aux channel and because it has no other channels, it would not let me chose channel.switched to 34 then was able to fix the issue
