Setting a new network security key for my Netopia 3341 wireless

There is no security on a wireless receiver. Security is set on the wireless Access Point or router. Check your router documentation or talk to the person who manages the wireless network you want to connect to.

Welcome to Fixya. If you want to obtain the Wep Key or Network Key on your router you need to access the Wireless Settings Page. To access the router page you need a working computer that is connected to the router. To access the router page just open a browser then type 192.168.1.1. Go to the Wireless Settings Page you will see there Network Key or Passphrase. The Network Key serves as a password or security code on your network to make it secure.

• For security purposes you must create a password for your Gateway. Enter a new password, repeat it, click the submit button
• You will ask to login again. Enter admin as your username and the newly created password
• Access the wireless settings page
• The Network Key is the Security or PIN that you need to connect wirelessly
• You can also personalize the Network Name (SSID) and the Network Key or PIN

connecting to the wireless network is not difficult. First you should know the wireless settings of the router like the network name and security key if the network is secured.
once you have all the wireless settings of the router, you just need to connect to the wireless network.

Is there any computer connected to the router with the Ethernet cable?
If not then connect 1 computer to the router and open the router set up page. Once you open the router set up page, you will be able to find the wireless network key.

Leave it on but set a security key, so that unauthorized people cannot get onto your network.

I would suggest to "download the drivers" but the website of Netopia doesn't mention drivers. And I'm guessing that your driver disk won't have the Vista drivers either.

This is your password for the wireless network. Do you remember setting up one for your wireless network?

If you mean to say, your WEP key or password(network key) to allow your computer to go online wirelessly, you need to access the Netopia's setup page via a browser. From there, you can go or click the wireless section/tab which will give your settings for your network like security key or network name.
