I am trying to change our company voicemail and the manual (with the company's contact info is, who we bought the phone from) has walked away. Is there a standard code for setting the main VM greeting? Please help!

What Toshiba Voicemail system do you have? Is it a Toshiba or third party voicemail? Depending who setup you voicemail and what version you have. Mailbox 990 is the Intro greeting "thank you for calling xyz company". Mailbox 991 is the main greeting "press 1 for sales press 2 for tech support etc. If you have a toshiba Voicemail. Need to login to 990 and 991 (need to know passwords) Newer versions you can setup just 991 mailbox for both.

How do I set up voicemail

Usually, all you have to do is call your cell phone number and then you will be prompted to set up your voicemail out-going message, etc

If you are unsure, the best thing to do is, on a secondary phone that is not your cell phone that you want to set up the voicemail, call your cellular service customer support number. This number might be on your cellular bill. They can help walk you through setting it up step by step since each type of phone and phone service is different.

Dont know voicemail password

Are you referring to the voice mail on your cell? What company do you have service with? If using cell, you may be able to try dialing 611 and then press the send or call button. then select the option for reset password. (When you received the phone, were you able to put it in your name with your account info? If so, you may be able to provide answers to the security questions with your account to reset your password.) Let me know if this helps.

Problem retrieving messages off of my corded phone CS40XLC

You may download a copy of the manual here.

You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

My mom passed away in November and her voice was on the answering machine for leaving a message. My Dad changed phone companies and somehow that lost any voicemail messaging for the phone. He can't seem to...

First of all, my condolences to you and your family on your loss.

Unfortunately I was unable to locate a complete user's manual for this phone online. However, from the specs I was able to find, this phone does not appear to have any kind of built in answering machine. Therefore your last voicemail feature was almost certainly the one provided by your phone company. All messages and greetings would have been stored on their computers in their main office and not on your actual phone in your house.

Since you changed phone companies in the meantime, then your messages have very likely been deleted from the system by your old phone company. If your old phone number has already been given out to someone else then I'm afraid the message is gone for sure. If the number is still available or out of service then you might have a very slim chance of recovering the message.

If you only changed phone companies recently (less than a month ago), you may be able to contact your old phone company and see if the greeting message is still on their computer system somewhere. This would definitely not be a standard request and you will probably have to convince one of the customer service supervisors of the sentimental importance of the message for them to make an effort at recovering it.

Sorry again.

Good luck and take care.
