The sound runs from a different battery source, you'll need to remove the screw on the fron t of the seat and then lift the seat up and charge the battery with the supplied charger

My rain train has worked great for years. Now it clicks when it get in a bind and doesn't move. Like a tooth is missing on one of the gears. Haven't taken is completely apart yet. Just learned

Individual gears are not available, you Will need to replace the entire motor section.

You can purchase the part from Nelson directly.
http://www.lrnelson.com/replacement-parts/

Current price for the #77376 Plastic Motor Assembly is $21.57 + shipping.

(I just replaced the motor assy. on the one I use for my front yard - figured 15 years is enough. Works like new again).

Hooked up my amp it has power but power light won't come on won't power up front speakers work and have sound but it doesn't move to back

Make sure the remote wire is hooked up. You can run a small wire from the power terminal to the remote terminal. If it powers up, then you have a remote wire problem. You can run a remote wire from the blue power antennae wire of the deck.

Are transformers for the 387 and 384 interchangable?

Check the output of the transformer going INTO the controler. Mine is 19VAC. IF the controler is working you should measure 25VDC between the inner and outer track with the controller switched on. If you have the AC but not the DC voltage push the red reset button. Once you have the 25VDC put your train in place (engine and coal car) and it should run.

2005 sedona won't start all of a sudden. Doesn't make a sound except for a tiny whirring sound like the feul injectors. Replaced starter...still won't start. checked all fuses...they are good....

you could just have dead cell in the battery which isn't getting enough amps to the starter,, have the battery LOAD checked,, that will tell you if the battery is actually good, just because it registers 12 volts isn't necessarily an indication that the required amps are present.
