Go into the Audio Properties and set the mic as a recording device.

Click Start/Control Panel and look for Audio or Sound. Go through and find where you set the microphone as a recording device and put a check by it.

You can also click on the megaphone at the bottom right near the time to get into the Audio Sound Properties.

Built in mic not working

It looks like you installed a program (one that uses audio) that uses different settings for audio. If this is the case; go into that program and go to preferences or advanced settings etc and disable the audio and change it to default audio.

If not let me know :)

Why my mic dosnt work on yahoo chat

zzzdisk

It is a general problem, you have to see on control panel, and see if the correct drivers for the particular modem is well installed. Also check your conection again, (settings) for your TCP/IP configuration, and dialup? set up.
check your drivers for your modem too, and if you set up correctly the Messenger, on setup the mic, cam, and sound.
good luck
