My printer/scanner will no longer scan something and send it to documents? it instead prints out the test sheet like the one used when you change cartriges?

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).

I just got the mp3 player. ive been charging it but when i disconnect it from my computer it shuts off and wont turn back on. HELP!

Some older computers that have USB ports that limit the output to 5V @ .5 amp current. Depending on your MP3 player, it may not be sufficient to charge the player. This was the spec back then. Since then, new USB specs call for 5V @ 1.0 amp current - a two fold increase in current.

You may have better luck connecting to a powered USB hub instead. If you're only looking to charge the MP3 player, you don't even need to connect it to the computer. The powered hub gets powered by connecting the ac adapter / power supply to a wall outlet - instead from of the computer's power supply via mother board.

The above assumes there is a good, rechargeable battery; a functioning charger & USB port in the MP3 player and of course, a working USB cable. If any of the above is faulty, you'll never get the MP3 Player to accept a charge. You should try different computers, cables and ports if possible.

Good luck!

Window7 crache connecting usb fax modem

I expect it is a problem with your USB Driver, Get an updated driver for your USB slots. (either from motherboard manufacturer or USB manufacturer if it is a USB "card")
Even default or old drivers might work Try a few different USB drivers - a new one, the reccomended one, the original one...
(good idea is to use a ps/2 mouse and keyboard since your usb will be going on and off while you're working, it can be hard to click YES when you're keyboard AND mouse aren't working ;-)
if it still dont work...
Can you set any of your USB slots to work in USB 1.0 instead of 2.0, there could be an option in bios, maybe it will run the "OLD" modem in an OLD mode?

Turned it on and there is no curser. Pad is not working

Hmmm....

1. Make sure there's no USB storage device connected to it. It may boot from there instead of the hard drive.

If this is the case, go to the system BIOS by tapping F2, turn off USB emulation.

I was given a Xenon flat screen monitor. The back has 4 usb ports and 1 usb input and an analog rgb port. It came with no cables. Can I just use a usb cable or do i need the analog rgb cable? Also when I...

The USB hub/connections cannot be used for driving the monitor... It is only an extra feature so that you can connect USB devices (such as a mouse & keyboard or flash drive) at the monitor instead of the computer ports.

You must use the RGB/VGA connection to use the monitor.

When you turn ON the monitor, it should "announce" itself with a logo...

When you were given the monitor, were you told that it works?

Please connect the monitor and comment back...

Thanks!

I connected the external floppy drive to a USB hub which in turn is connected directly to a USB port on my Dell desktop which runs Windows XP Home Edition 64 bit version and the drive just runs and will...

Yes, the external floppy drive must be connected directly to a USB port on the computer instead of to a USB hub.The PC can't see the drive thru the USB hub. Applies to both 32 and 64 bit.

External hard usb connection with another computer

USB cables/devices were _not_ designed for computer-to-computer connections. Don't try it.
Instead, buy a "cross-over" Ethernet cable, to connect the network-ports on the two computers.
