Discovering a Motorola H721 headset on my Iphone

I just upgraded my Iphone to the new 3G model.  On my old one I have been using a Motorola H721 headset but now I can't get my new Iphone to discover the H721.  I can't remember how to put the headset in discover mode.

Open the boom flip. Press and hold both volume buttons and the call button for more than 10 seconds. The indicator light flashes 3 times and then becomes steady lit. The headset is now in pairing mode.

Motorola H721

No. Most mono Bluetooth headsets cannot play music. You need a stereo bluetooth headset or a wired headset.

My bluetooth isnt synced to my phone and it isnt. how do i restart the process so that it syncs to my phone??

I have the H715 but my iPhone only showed the H721 instead of the H715. I selected the H721, entered the passcode and connected. Called my home phone with the earpiece in and it works.

From user guide and other user comments...
Make sure the H7xx is fully charged up (not necessary but you'll probably begin to immediately use it and it would be bad to have it discon because the battery is dead). Turn off the H7xx (the ring around the talk button should not be flashing blue every few seconds), push the talk button, thats the oval button on the face of the headset, for about five seconds, until the ring around it displays a purple color. Immediately let go of the button and flip open the tiny microphone extension. Now it's in pairing mode and you can leave it while you fiddle with the iPhone.

From the iPhone main menu, select the "Settings" button, then in the Settings menu, select the "General" option.

Touch the "Bluetooth" menu item on the General menu. when the next screen appears, if your Bluetooth is already turned on it will start looking for (discovering) your H7xx. If Bluetooth is not turned on, slide the gray button so it displays "on" instead of "off". Your iPhone should now start discovering your H7xx. It should automatically find your H7xx, then display another screen that prompts you for a code. According to the manufacturer's guidelines, the H7xx requires you put in "0000" that is 4 (four) Zeros as the code.

If everything went well, the "Bluetooth" screen should be displayed again and the Motorola H7xx should show up under the word "Devices" showing that it is Paired.

Your H7xx should now also blink Blue around the talk button.

If things didn't go well. I suggest navigating back to the bluetooth menu. Turning bluetooth off on the iPhone. Flipping closed the microphone boom on the H7xx and starting over again. I had to do it twice because I fumble fingered the 4 zeros.

NOTE: it is not necessary to have the H7xx right on top of the iPhone, but I'd have it within an arms reach, just to be sure you get a good signal and you actually pair to your Bluetooth headset.

Once the iPhone has discovered the H7xx if it continues to state "Not Paired" simply tap the Motorola H7xx box and it will take you to the next screen. Enter "0000" as the security code. The iPhone should now successfully pair with the H7xx.

Multipoint bluetooth wont work with iphone 3g

I actually have both products, and I was able to get my bluetooth to work with 2 phones. All you have to do is first pair your phone with the H721. Then in the phones functions, turn off the bluetooth so it is no longer in discovery or connected...but do not turn off the bluetooth itself, just in the phones settings. Then go to the bluetooth settings in the iphone. you should see the H721 in discovery but not connected. Before connecting it you must put the H721 into discovery mode as well. Hold all three buttons down for 19 sec. it will go solid blue. then push connect on your iphone. onces connected, go to the original phone and turn the setting back on for bluetooth connection. both are now connected. Only one may apear to be connected, but both are. test it with another phone. call each number and you will see that you can now answer both calls with one device. If the iphone is connected and phone 1 rings...the H721 disconnects temporarily from the iphone and connects to the other device to answer it. Hope this helps. Cause thats how I got mine to work.
