Replacement External Power Supply

So the old power supply doesn't have the output voltage, current and polarity noted on the label? What a ripoff! *grin* Did you look on the case near where it plugs into the monitor? Sometimes that will tell you the voltasge and polarity. Poliarity? Get that one wrong and the monitor could be cooked instantly! But it's usually positive. I found a completed eBay listing that had this info: "the power supply which the seller used to power up this Planar Flat Panel is inventoried as follows: ViewSonic 12V Power Adaptor Model # SYS1126-5012" I looked that one up, and it's listed as 12V at 4.17A. I have a broken PL2010M. The back shows the power requirement as 12V DC, 6.67 amps. The polarity is not indicated, but appears to center pin positive. I'm looking for a replacement inverter, if you hear of one.

Thank you for the lead. I'm trying to verify whether that power supply works on the specific model that I have or not. (No there weren't any markings around the power supply plug-in) The Viewsonic adapter works on the 19" Monitor, but the 20" and 21" appear to use new (and very different) power supply options. I'll follow up on the lead though and see if I can find someone who can verify that it will work on the PL2010M. Planar's lips are sealed! Thanks again.
