My son was using wi-fi to trade pokemon. When he returned a Porygon-Z to his friend, my son's trainer disappeared and the X, A, and B buttons no longer work while playing Pokemon Diamond although the buttons work for other games.

After I traded my friend to get a Rhyperior, we traded back, and now I am invisible and can't move out of the top room. If i hit the Y button (the only one that works) then I can get on my bike, but I still can't get out. If i put the Action Replay in, all I can do is go through walls and whatever else. I cannot open the menu and restarting the game from Twinleaf town is NOT AN OPTION. I will NOT delete my game. Sorry. The only way to get a legit Mew into Black is to trade it in from another game. Unless you have any event Mews laying around (or know anyone who has one that they would be willing to trade), the only other option for getting one is either from Faraway Island in Emerald, My Pokemon Ranch (available on Wii-ware and you unlock a Mew after depositing 1000 Pokemon), or hack one using an Action Replay.
Mew can only be obtained in Fire Red through:
Trading
A Wi-Fi event, which their wont be anymore.
Hacking through a gameshark or action replay

First, make sure your Nintendo DS has internet through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection,
then go into any Pokemon center and use the global terminal to engage in battles or trades with random strangers over Wi-Fi.
Basically, so long as you are in a wireless hotspot, i.e. McDonald's or a Library, you should be able to get Wi-Fi on your Pokemon Black/White.
there are three ways you can get a mew:
1. you can get the mystery gift over wi-fi but unfortunatly that event is over.
2.you can trade for one with a friend if they have one.
3. you can use a hacking machine that you plug into your gba/gbasp/ds, with this device you can make one appear in the wild. I recommend using a GameShark, it is most affective.
In order to get Arceus in Pokemon Diamond, you need an Azura Flute which nintendo gives away in an event over Wi-Fi. Unfortunaly the event is over and you can't get it any more. If you want you can find someone with one and trade for it. Or you can get an Action Replay which alows you to hack an Azura Flute using codes.
All of does pokemon cant be found in platinum exept for Darkrai and Shaymin. They are given out on a event in Wi-Fi. But the others need to be migrated and Traded
Well that must mean that no one is putting up Munchlax for trade. Afterall, GTS is a realtime based trading system. Just check back daily. Or you can save yourslf time by catching your own. Just put honey on the trees from routes 206-222 or floaroma meadow.
some of the older pokemon can only be found if you use the PokeRadar on grass areas. some of the old water pokemon need the super rod to catch by water areas. but not all the pokemon can be found this way and you will need to trade from the older GBA games for there starter pokemon and the older legends. or you can find some one on wi-fi to trade you the pokemon you need. GTS can also get you a lot of the pokemon you still need(but have see as you can only search GTS for pokemon you have seen) its in Jubilife city so you can put pokemon up for trade to the world as well as trade other people pokemon for what they want.

im sorry but you might have to be a bit more specific. I dont think u can update a ds game. and u cant connect it to the computer. the possible putcome i gathered from that is that he wants to play his game online and trade pokemon etc. meaning u need to connect the ds to your computer wirelessly using a -nintendo wi-fi usb connector-( a usb drive u basically plug into ur computer and gives off internet for nintendo products) or a -wireless router or modem- ( the black box that the cables go through for internet).
When your grandson plays the game and wants to go online, (i will explain how to use this using directions in the game) 1. turn on the ds and load the game 2. watch the introduction movie (shiny pokemon) 3. on the main screen where you decide to either continue, new game, or -NINTENDO WFC SETTINGS-, go to nintendo wfc settings 4.tap the blue box labelled nintendo wi-fi connection settings 5.if ur using a Wi-fi usb tap connect to wifi usb or if using wireless internet tap a blank connection square 6. follow the prompts for the wifi usb and u will be connected to the internet 7. for wireless internet, tap search for an access point 8. when it has found the wireless internet tap O.K/connect/next etc and follow the prompts 9.when thats connected return to pokemon Diamond main screen then tap new game/continue to play 10. walk to the pokemon centre and go downstairs to battle online - or go into a house in (Jublife city?) to trade pokemon online
