There is a fairly easy way to block facebook.com Go and enter your router by writing 192.168.1.1 into a browser address line. It will answer asking for ID and password. Use default admin and admin.
Follow this instructions:1. connect via hard wired connection using your PC (network cable)2. open your internet explorer or any browser.3. type the numbers 192.168.1.1 on the address bar4. you will be routed to your router's settings, type admin for USERNAME: and admin for PASSWORD.5. look for the basic setup/settings6. look for the wireless settings7. under your SSID comes the WEP or WPA-PSK option8. that is your wi-fi password, then modified it and remember the password you use for you will need to enter it on your pc when you are connecting via wireless connection.you can select ASCII for password. it should be alpha numeric or combination of letters and numbers.9. select save and apply. then you are good to go.
Click Account settings - notifications - facebook and choose your options to turn on or off. this link might take you strait there http://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=notifications§ion=Facebook&t
Go to A dva n c e d tab -> Filters then enter "facebook.com" in a "Website Blocking by URLAddress" field. You can enter up tofour URL addresses. You can aslo try the "Website Blocking by Keyword"field and just "facebook" there and see if that blocks facebook.
Type 192.168.1.254
Enter your password default
Username-Admin
Pass-Admin
Once in there find your wireless setting and turn it off.
I personally do not have a netopia router but these are the usual steps, if you have any problems comment back and i will be glad to help.
the network administrator (whoever configure your router) should have the wep key you're looking for, if you're that person and forgot your wepkey you need to reset your router so you can go back into the router configuration page and reset a new key (and hopefully you'll remember it next time). here some instructions for your product:
You can't really get round this easily.
But to by-pass the problems you can
1) reset the router to factory defaults... you will need the username and password for this for the router which are (depending on your version)
Username: admin
Password: password
or
Username: admin
Password: admin
Then set yourself up as primary account holder - you will also need the ISPs log in details.
Alternatively, use a web proxy server to connect to facebook. I reccomend SSLUnblock but for others you can find a nice list of proxy servers here.
If this helped you then please help me and vote kindly, thank you.
