The different series usually have slightly different toner composition, so you may find that your copier will be majorly over-toned or under-toned. by doing that.
I personally wouldn't risk it, and I have been in the industry 24 years...

remove 2 black cap of drum cartridge

then take a small steel rod enough lenght of that drum and put in that hole appear one side of drum

and press it so that other side nob comes outside

again from second side remove the nob of another side

remove all bearings gear
place a new drum and fit all bearing and gear
reverse procedure from downside to up

Although you can not reset the counter by any buttons. You can replace the chip on the cartridge at a far less price.

Error code 004-361 means Drum error or Drum motor failure. You'll need to check the drum cartridges, remove the cartridges to check. Now enter DC330 [004-003] and press Start. The Drum Motor will now energize and the drive rotates. If it doesn't then measure voltage between the Drum Motor P/J210-4 (+) and GND (-), it should be +5 VDC is measured. Try measuring the voltage between the Drum Motor. If there is no voltage detected then you'll need to replace Drum Motor (PL 1.1). Hope this helps...

No. The CRUM is integral to the Drum Cartridge. The only way would be to swap CRUM from a cartridge that failed for a reason other that it reached end of life.

You need a Xerox service laptop to communicate with the beast and reset it, that is what I was told by a Xerox Tech, Nasty I know but no other choice they got you.

Here's what I did.

Emptied the waste toner cartridge. Left it out of the machine. Held the microswitch (located to the right of the optical sensors) in the "cartridge in" position with a paperclip. Printed one document. Inserted the waste toner cartridge. Error now gone!
