My sony vaio v2m will not start window it just keeps comeing up with page saying windows did not not start up successfully and telling me to start windows normally
safe mode
safe mode with networking
safe mode with comand prompt
if i pix start windows normally it just freezes up
Choose start windows in Safe mode, if it starts then everything will look big, don't worry about that for now. Then go to Start>accessories>system Tools>system restore and choose a date when you know that everything was working normally, when it has finished restoring the computer will restart. If asked choose start windows normally.
I hope this helps
Does the computer make any beeping sounds when it starts, and if it does how many beeps do you hear?
I was thinking that it could be dirty ram but that normally beeps three times on boot. It could be a windows fault and the windows may need repairing. Boot your computer press F2 to enter the bios settings and make sure that CDrom is selected as priorty boot insert your windows disk, restart the comptuer and select repair instead of install.
If this is the first time that you have used it since your move and it was working fine before then, then it is possible that something has come loose inside the computer. Unplug the computer from the outlet and check to see if you have loose ram, graphics, or loose cables that are not connected properly to the hard drive etc....

Finding lost application install keys is quick and simple with this handy executable, a complete rewrite of a well-received earlier version.
Keyfinder Thing's simple, easy-to-understand interface has Wizard-like efficiency.
This application quickly scans your system registry for 90 supported software titles and displays product names and icons in the result window. Single-button clicks copy all keys to either a text or HTML file.

Product Key Finder is a single function utility that executes in a GUI, but displays a Command window result. You merely double-click it to display the 25 character Microsoft Windows Product Key.
then store it away for safe keeping not on your computer
Hope this helps.
