Can the modulator be bad
Your modulator shouldn't effect the cd player. But it can cause static in your fm if you leave it on. Make sure the modulator is turned off before trying to use the regular fm. Also, if its a wired modulator, then check the antenna connections. If it's wireless than it should not effect anything. Depending on the radio, get a aux input on it. Wireless fm transmitters are the worst.

First of all, you aren't going to like this solution because it's the truth. If you rate me poorly, it's because you don't understand the truth. The optical pickup is bad and needs to be replaced. Anything made by Xtreme sound is poorly built. Yes, you're lucky to have even gotten four months use out of it. I've seen some that only last for two months and they die. Fortunately, that's why you didn't pay that much for it. I would suggest getting a Pioneer in the future.

if you installed an aftermarket antenna you may have to splice two wires to make full connection, email [email protected] and explain and they may be able to email you instructions for a solution you may not have it grounded properly.

If the factory harness is still in tact, you can buy an adapter at Best Buy for about 20$ or ask to see one and write down the pins and wires then match it up and cut n splice to your new deck. Hope this helps

IF YOU ARE USING THE ACTUAL CAR KIT FOR INNO YOUR FM MODULATOR WILL ACTIVATE UNDER YOUR SETTING / PREFERENCES. THE FM BUDDY DOES WORK IF YOU CAN FIND ONE. HOME KIT WITH CASSETTE WORKS TO.
