I Cannot use my laptop touch pad,and maybe there is a virus because my OS is not function. thank you!!! God Bless

The Laptop touch pad will have to be addressed after the OS problem has been solved.

XP may have losted files due to a virus of other problems, like the replacement by other software.

Insert the orginal CD and turn on your computer. Windows will run through its tests. Watch the screen because it will guide you to either "reinstall" the OS or just install what the setup has found to either be missing and reinstall those files or replace any corrupt files. If you have been working with this OS for, say a year or two, you may want to consider reinstalling the OS. You will have to reinstall your other software that you have installed since you started but sometimes that is the correct solution, not neccessay the one that you will like.

Good luck!

all the files, programs saved on the same drive/partition will be lost. Make sure to save important data before you do a reinstall. After reinstalling the operating system, you can reinstall the drivers for your components, then reinstall the programs/applications you need.

Stop:0x0000007B tried to boot in all modes..we go to blue screen with stop: cannot get a command prompt either

Issue : Blue screen with Error0x0000007B
Solution
I recognize the importance of resolving this issue and I look forward in providing you with the necessary assistance you need.

The above error comes if the boot volume is corrupted and cannot be initiated by Windows XP. or You are installing Windows XP on a mirrored boot partition that was created by Microsoft Windows NT 4.0.

To completely resolve your issue i think you have to reinstall the OS.
Have to format the Hard drive

requirement
the OS - XP Home / Premium Installation CD

Disk formatting is the initial part of the process for preparing a hard disk or other storage medium for its first use. The disk formatting includes setting up an empty file system. A disk formatting may setup multiple file systems by formatting partitions for each file system.

Boot Loader Problem in working with two O.S

Which OS you erased first and how did you erased ?
Reinstall XP first, it will format the disk (be sure to back up all your files first). Then install Mandriva, it will detect XP and will ask you if you want to install it next to XP so you can have both or if you want to use the entire disk for Mandriva.

C: drive thought to be memory stick

fully format the drive in which you have installed the OS and then install the fresh copy of the windows XP ....
if the same problem persists then your system might have got attacked with some virus like trojan backdoor or trojan horse ...

this virus will not be vanished if you remove the partition and reinstall the Xp also so first you must download a good updated antivirus & then scan your whole system & clean the virus & then install the fresh copy of the OS by formatting that drive ...
