You can try to strip a little bit of the jacket off the wires and twist them together securely. Then use a little bit of electrical tape to wrap the bare wire. After, you can tape the head piece back together...... or you could buy some new headphones.

Headset earpiece assembly has become detached from headband assembly. The post does not want to go back into the hole on the earpiece assembly bracket. What do I do?

The headband post can only be inserted into the earpiece when the earpiece has been sufficiently rotated. (Note that the hole and post are a 'D' shape, not round.) The installed ear cushion is preventing you from rotating the earpiece sufficiently.

Remove the ear cushion from the earpiece by carefully pulling it off so you do not damage the clips that hold it on or the gasket material between the cushion and the earpiece. There are six clips, three on each side.

Now you can rotate the earpiece into the position where the headband post can be inserted into the earpiece.

Carefully reinstall the ear cushion by pressing it onto the plastic clips. Note that it can only be installed one way with the internal plastic support towards the headband.

Raven01@Hi, The left hand speaker has snapped off the head band on my bose qc2. Also, the blacl plastic that hold the headband together above the right speaker is coming apart. Can I buy a replacement...

No, Bose doesn't cover any damage done to products that is any fault of the buyer. You might be able to if you contact a Bose retailer and special order it through them. Just a note, it will cost you more for the new speaker due to it being a special order. Probably around the lines of 40-50% of the original sales price (which is outrageous). If I were in your shoes, I'd try to find the same unit on craigslist or Ebay.

All of a sudden sound is not coming in one of the channels (right). On pressing the headphone's band a bit sound comes on and goes off.

The cable connects to one headphone and then through the headband to the other side.

I sounds like the cable connecting them that runs through the headband has been damaged.

The only solution is the try and remove the cover from the headband and repair the cable.

I have Sennheiser HD 570 headphones. The plastic headband is broken where it attaches to the headphone. Can I order a new plastic headband and is difficult to replace?

That part isn't available from Sennheiser. But they are pretty maintainable, if you're good with mechanical things, and if you can come up with another set of the same headphones for parts.
If you've already replaced your headphones and want to rid yourself of the broken 570's, I'm looking for a set to scrounge for parts.

Need instructions for replacement of headband and ear cushions.

It should be easy - I just eased mine out by pulling on the top and bottom parts of the headphone cushion/pad.

Hope that helps
