Switch off your decorder for 5minutes and switch it on

There is an electronic program guide. However, it's limited. To see the current program and upcoming programs for the current channel, press the EPG button on the original Ematic AT103B remote. (Universal remotes may or may not match the function.) To see the other channel's program list, use the left/right arrows to scroll through the lists for all of the available channels.

You may find a web site like Titan TV, http://www.titantv.com/ , more useful. The site has a guide to all channels at once by time for your area OTA channels.

Try updating the software. It might cure the problem.

Is the episode guide from OTA channels or a set-top box (Tivo, cable)? Make sure that the time is set correctly. In my area, the automatic time information comes from the OTA PBS station. That station's time often is off by a few minutes. (Similarly, when the time is set manually, the clock also drifts on one of my TVs.)

If you get your information from a set top box, try rebooting (or unplugging for a minute) the unit. This sometimes will reset the data.

If those two suggestions don't help, the problem is from the stations/EPG provider. Sometimes the provider's clock is off and this causes the issue. You could try contacting that provider if their clock or program list is routinely off. (If this is related to an event that took longer than scheduled, there isn't much to stop the issue.)

(Last weekend, my cable box had the correct time. The EPG insisted on showing the programs for 5-6 hours later. Since the provider is a local cooperative, we had to wait until Monday for the support staff to reset the EPG at their computers. Rebooting the set-top box was tried, but didn't help.)

You could try looking on Pioneer's web site to see if a firmware download is available. This sort of thing can happen as time and technology moves on, a firmware update can be like giving your machine a bit of an upgrade and often rectifies issues like this. As for channel four and 5 doesn't everybodies EPG behave like that? I think it's to do with bandwidth in the digital signal, quite often you will notice that groups of channels will be affected at the same time these usually share the same area of bandwidth.

I downloaded this off of Wikipedia. You are not the only person having the problem with the switch to digital television. The complaints are nationwide. the old TV Guide Plus has gone away for many viewers and soon for all viewers as the transition to DTV gets nearer. If you are using an antenna be sure to get the digital converter. They are practically free with a government sponsored coupon.

Digital television
The new service, launched in the United States in 2006, is entirely digital, using the ATSC digital television standard. While this will significantly improve the service, older systems will no longer be able to download listings once analog shutdown is done in early 2009.
It should be noted that the Program and System Information Protocol (PSIP) within the ATSC standard already allows for each station to send out its own EPG information, and in the U.S. the FCC in fact requires stations to do so for OTA (but not cable, unless they are rebroadcasting an OTA station that provides the PSIP data). However, actual implementation is rather spotty, and usually very minimal -- stations often don't have full descriptions (or even correct information) on the current show, much less the next 3 hours required of them, or the 16 days worth of guide information that can be transmitted. Additionally, ATSC tuners are not required to even show the EPG, only the very limited information for the current show on the current channel.
While the TV Guide service also requires software in the TV or other device, and licensing fees or royalties to be paid to Gemstar TV Guide, it also offers a more complete solution for broadcast television, more like digital satellite or digital cable.
