Manual reset should not be affected by disconnection of power--the set stores that information in the microprocessor area---read carefully the owner manual but I suspect based on the description you have a micro problem.

Just as a possible test look to see if same issue when you play a DVD etc.

I have a sonic TV and can't retune, because of a code lock which I don't have

If you have forgotten the code lock for your Sonic TV and cannot retune it, you may be able to reset it back to factory settings by performing a factory reset. However, please note that this will erase all custom settings and data, and revert the TV to its original state.
To perform a factory reset on your Sonic TV, follow these steps:
  1. Turn off the TV using the power button.
  2. Unplug the TV from the power outlet.
  3. Press and hold the power button on the TV for 15-20 seconds.
  4. While still holding the power button, plug the TV back into the power outlet.
  5. Continue holding the power button for another 15-20 seconds, then release the button.
  6. The TV should now reset to factory settings.
Please note that the steps may vary depending on the specific model of your Sonic TV. If you are unsure or if this method does not work, you may want to consult the instruction manual for your TV or contact the manufacturer for further assistance.

When I push '-' to make image smaller screen goes black

Check your setting in "Custom Functions". Sounds like your "-" (or more specifically your "*" button) has had a feature enabled. I had my "*" button set for focusing - under Focus Settings in Customs Functions. If in doubt reset all Custom Functions to their default.

I need to cde to unlock my playstation 2 t watch r rated movies.

To reset the parental lock password or disable the parental lock, follow these easy steps

Step 1

Turn on your PS2 and choose the menu screen where you would normally enter the password. Instead of entering a password, go to the DVD setup menu. Go to "custom setup" and choose "parental controls".

Step 2

When you are asked for the code or password, press the select button on your controller and enter the number "7444". Now set the parental lock to "off".

Step 3

Press "reset" on the front of the game console to save your settings. When the system reboots, you should be able to view your previously censored games or DVDs. You will also have the opportunity to choose your own password, allowing you to turn the parental lock on and off, either manually or automatically by game or movie ratings.

I can't view my pictures after the shot,it very blerr

I'm not sure if you are talking about the quick view of a picture just taken, or using playback mode to view shots taken. Either way, I suggest changing batteries so they are fresh.
There are 3 different LCD choices when in "Shooting Mode."
Press "DISP."
The display mode will change each time you press this button.
1- Standard (no info displayed, just pic)
2- Detailed (infor displayed)
3- Off
If you have tried this, then you may want to perform a reset to the cam. This will reset any screen/LCD settings that may have been changed.
Goto the Setup Menu and select "Reset All." Select "OK" and press "Func. Set."
This reset WILL NOT reset the following:
-Current Shooting Mode
-Date/Time, Language, & Video System settings
-White Balance Data (of you have custom settings changed in the custom white calance function)

One touch white balance

i have the e-500 and can only register one at a time. once you set the white balance using the one touch button, it stays that way until you one touch again or custom reset. however it may be possible to save to 'my mode' 1 or 2 ... or even 'custom reset' 1 or 2. according to the manual on page 119, it saves your wb setting and most of the other changes you have made.

reset camera... soft reset. Mode Dial to P, press Menu, right arrow (AF button), to card setup, down to custom reset, right to custom reset, OK, up to YES, the OK

Exposure compensation problems

The exposure compensation stays where you leave it unless you do a full reset or a custom reset, and except when you're using scene modes. But you don't need to do a reset to cancel out an exposure compensation -- simply use the exposure compensation button to adjust the compensation back to 0.0EV.
