I have a pioneer DEH P8500MP. The other day I went to turn the car on and the head unit wouldn't come on at all. I tried another head unit and it worked fine so I know there is something wrong with the actual head unit itself. I figured it was the fuse on the head but i cant find it anywhere and I know every head unit has a fuse on it somewhere. Any help will be greatly apreciated. THANKS

Usually, On a pioneer stereo, the button that you press to change
sources (Tuner, CD, etc etc).. if you hold it in, the unit will turn
off.
Look for a button that says Power, or PWR near it with a
Square and little line coming from the square, that means you need to
hold that button to perform that function. Hope this helps.

For most Pioneer single CD players, you can set the clock using the following steps:
1.Press and hold the SOURCE button until the unit shuts off.
2.Press and hold SOURCE again until the clock appears. With some models you will press and hold the FUNCTION or AUDIO button instead of the SOURCE button.
3.Press the left or right arrow to select the segment of time you wish to adjust.
4.Press the up or down arrows to increase or decrease the numbers in the blinking segment.
5.Once the clock is set correctly, press the SOURCE button to exit.
i also have had this unit for over four years. the exact same thing just happened to me yesterday. i was thinking maybe it is the motor that opens the face. has anyone found an exact solution for this problem yet?
