Need to replace door spring

There are many Kenmore Elite models with numerical identifiers. You may be able to replace the rinse aid door, or you may have to replace the whole door, if parts are available.

Door springs are located at the left and right side of the door bottom. You will have to pull the unit a few inches from the installed location to see them. If broken, replace. If one slipped off, reattach.

I too had problems with the Kenmore Elite (aka Bosch). The issue was solved by replacing the Lock Sensor on the door. After replacing the sensor the dishwasher has been working. Hope this helps.

Could be that, the spring may have unhooked or it could be a defective damper connected to the door. Remove the side panels and check the operation of the door mechanism. (This will probably require the removal of the rear panel to gain access to the necessary fastners).

1. Turn off the power to your Kenmore dishwasher before attempting any repairs. If you have a portable Kenmore dishwasher, you can just unplug the power cord from the wall. Built-in dishwashers are hard-wired into the cabinet, so you will have to turn off the breaker switch at the home's circuit breaker box to cut the power.
   
2. 2 Remove the screws that hold the kickplate onto the lower front of the Kenmore dishwasher. Take the kickplate off to access the door springs.
   
3. Check the door springs to make sure they have not come loose from the door support or the adjustment holes on the dishwasher. Re-attach any ends that have slipped off their connections.
   
4. Replace the springs if they are connected at both ends but still do not have enough tension to support the weight of the door. Once a Kenmore dishwasher door spring is stretched out, it cannot be restored to its original condition. Unhook one end of the old spring from the adjustment hole. Unhook the other end from the door support and discard the spring. Insert one end of the replacement spring into the adjustment hole and the other end into the hook on the door support.
   
5. Open and close the door a few times to make sure the spring is now working properly. The door should not bounce up and down or sag on the hinges when it is in the open position.
   
6. Restore power to your Kenmore dishwasher by plugging it back in or turning on the switch at the home's circuit breaker panel.

Item #959376(fuse) will need to be replaced.
Unplug the dishwasher.
Remove the 6 screws holding the control panel on.
The fuse is on the top right side of the control panel. It has 2 wires going to it,usually black and white.
Remove the wires and check the fuse with a meter set for continuity. No continuity is a bad fuse.
If the fuse checks OK use the meter on the micro door switch found under the door latch.
Remove the wires to the switch,touch the meter leads to the 2 terminals and manually push the switch button in. If no reading on the meter the door switch is bad..

the door links are broken need to get new ones and replace

one of the buttons on the door will give u heat, just push that button
