I have a Mitsubishi WD 65733 TV. I replaced the power supply board today, lamp 6 mo ago. I turn it on, once picture appears it tuns off, red lamp light comes on. I have a fan running on the lamp to make sure I have good air flow. what else could it be?
Check this possible answer I provided and it worked for another similar set:

What it sound's like is that the lamp ballast is the problem. Buzzing sounds like when the power is first brought to the ballast it has to ramp up the voltage to get the lamp to light, then the voltage drops back down when the lamp is lit. Sounds like the lamp ballast isn't ramping up the voltage the way it should. May have to replace it. A good service shop would be able to do this for you.

Failed caps on the power supply will cause that. The V26 Power pwb repair kit will usually correct that issue. Its available from www.tvrepairworld.com the kit contains the capacitors and the CD with instructions.
