WHAT IS FEATURE BUTTON - NEC Electra Elite DTU 16D-2 Corded Phone

Go to 7310 set you wish yo program leave handset on hook push feature star 3 then the button you wish to program then feature and
the code you want ex:feature 0 is speed dial that key will now be
programmed for speed dial. You cant program line keys or intercom keys.

If the button is assigned as a feature button then, press Feature, Redial, button to program, dial 1 for intercom option, dial the extension your programming, Feature to write and exit. If the button is just a spare button not assigned as a feature button, then your programmer needs to do that before this will work.

use feature *0 to query what each is set to.

use feature *1 to program the button for an external number

use feature *2 to program the button for an internal number

use feature *3 to program the button for a feature code

Example:
Feature *2 (Press Button to be programmed) 221 (the internal number you wish to set)

Program feature 03 call waiting for recall.

Feature 05 for LNR. Redial.

Feature 00 press an unused button if it has something assigned to it press the mic button and press the button again to assign the code. Or just remember the code and use it. The feature button is just that when you use up buttons.

Why are you pressing the feature button?

Press feature then answer. You envoked ringing line pick up.
Press feature then speed dial button, dial a number like your dialing out, then feature again. You've just set a speed dial button.
Press feature, then 3 and you've changed your ringtone on a series i phone.

So pick up the handset and press FEATURE 63. Does that work?
If it does, press Feature *0 and the button labeled PAGE. What does it say? If it doesn't say PAGE, dial FEATURE *3 the PAGE button and dial FEATURE 63.

Of course, it's possible that your whole phone system lost the programming. And, it's also possible that the all page code is 60x instead of 63. FEATURE 6 starts external paging though.

By default the account code feature is Feature 900.
Try going to a set that has the button account code that is active, dial FEATURE * 0 This is a button inquiry, after dialing feature*0 press the button and see what the code comes up as.

To program the button: Press FEATURE * 3 press the button dial FEATURE 900

To Program Buttons On Your Phone:
For External Numbers:
1. Press the Feature button, then * 1
2. Push the button you want to program
3. Display will read "Program and OK"
4. Enter the telephone number, then press the OK softkeyFor Internal Numbers (Extensions.:
1. Press the Feature button, then * 2
2. Push the button you want to program
3. Display will read "Intercom #:__"
4. Enter the extension number
For Feature Codes:
1. Press the Feature button, then * 3
2. Push the button you want to program
3. Press the Feature button then enter the Feature Code

To delete a feature button, press "Feature" * 1, press the button to be erased, press "hold". That should erase the feature from the button on the phone.

To program a button for feature dialing. Press Feature *3, then touch the button you want to program, then touch the feature button and the 2 digit code.....
