When I flip the deck down to press the eject button the cd player turns off....it has never done that before, and by turning off i belive that is why it won't release the cd. I have no manual for the car, and the clarion website does not go back far enough.. The car is an 01 and the cd player is factory installed

There are usually two options
1...See if you can tease the jammed CD out through the slot using another (old) CD
If not
2...The player will have to removed from the dashboard and opened up to remove the jammed CD.
Make sure you have the Security Code before removing the player.

When you remove the faceplate you will find a small little black hole in the deck.Insert an opened paperclip to over ride the eject and make it come out.Please let me know if this helps
