You should restore the firmware of the device.

To do recovery you will need the CD you had got together with the player. If you have not it now the recovery tool can be downloaded from this website also.

You can solve the problem. Now you can already find the firmware for your player on the teac website. This is downloadable and working fine.

check battery voltage

Try to dowmload recovery firmware from here:

http://www.teac.eu/no_cache/hifi-audio/support/mp3-player/mp-114/?sword_list[0]=mp114

After decompress it, run factory4.exe the connect device to USB.
Use first check device function and then firmware upgrade.
I hope your teac will come back to work fine again.

you cant format a mp3 player it deletes all of the system start up memory. the only fix is to buy a new one.

Have you tried using a different usb port?

You should press the "Menu" button (two seconds) -> in the screen there will be message "Play Music" confirm this message by pressing "Menu" button again. Please enjoy your music!!!!
