GE Profile Arctica - Frig Freezing Food

Model: PSS25SGNA BS - The frig set to 0 and maintains temp fine. Frig side set to 37, but says much cooler (16 - 25) and is freezing food. I believe it's also froze the water filter cutting off wather for the ice maker (runs, but no water thus no cubes), and the door (no water). There appears to be no blocks in the upper and lower ports to the freezer. Main board replaced with no change. Thanks for your help!!

PSS25SGNA GE Profile Side by Side. Experiencing same exact problem.

Refrigerator has been dropping temperature for about 2 months. Freezing veggies. Also, water line is not dispensing water now.

PSS25SGNABS Model with the same problem. Frig side set for the recommended 37 degrees and it always freezes the food (below 30 degrees). Water also not dispensing. Swap out the main control board and the water synoid and the same problem exists. Need assistance.

PSS25SGNA with the same problem. Refrigerator won't hold temperature, no water from door, but the ice maker still works, We have unplugged it today and cleaning inside and out - a friend recommended letting everything thaw, maybe something is stuck? Seems illogical and a long shot, but at this point need something and can't afford a repairman, much less replacement right now.....

My freezer temp set to 0 and stays fine according to temp readout. My fresh food section temp set to 37 but readout shows 28-32 and food is getting frozen. I tried to compensate by rasing temp settings to 5 in freezer and 44 in frash food section. This helped and the gage readings are 5 in freezer and 33-34 in frash section. My frige is 6 years old. The problem has started 2 weeks ago. Can someone help?

Replace the damper assy, in the Refrigerator section. The damper door is stuck open. Very common problem on these refrigerators.

My food in the refigerator is freezing on the top shelf and bottom. I have turned down the control from 5 to 3 and it is still happening. Usually the milk and bag salads.

GE Profile Arctica model # PSS25NGMD - can't control temperature

Check the little damper door next the water filter at top inside the unit. You will have to remove the covers to get it. The little plastic ends will break off and then you can not control the temperture it act like a freezer. Hope this helps Also you can get this part online.
