I lost my Sony Ericsson w880i so accordingly rang my phone operator and got the phone blocked, after my contract ran out i found my phone in an old box. When ringing to ask to get it unblocked the contract provider and orange could not help me saying I need to see a mobile phone engineer.
I am wondering can i just get it unblocked from mobile phone shop advertising to unblock phones? Or do i need to do something else in order for it to work?

You can call vodafone and they will give you the unlock code. Alternatively you can get it unlocked over teh internet for about £35.
u have to change the network settings from automatic to manual then try otherwise contact service provider.
