Return the item to the place of purchase this is a manufacture defect. The problem is caused by a defective turntable motor.

Remove the glass turntable, then the roller ring. Then seta glas of water in the unit and turn it on for 5 to 10 seconds. Look through the door window and see if the drive hub is rotating. If it is, then check the underside of the glass table to match up the drive hub. If it isn't turming, the drive, then it is internal and should have a 1 yr warrantee minimum. Remember, the, the turntable and drive must engage each other and the roller ring in place. Good Luck, and let me know please. One more thing, make sure there isn't a Turntable on/off swirch set in the off position. Good Luck, Ne

SOURCE: how do i turn the turntable off?

You dont.
You can use spacers(nonmetalic of course) to raise the platter high enough to disenguage the drive. You can also shift the tray to one side on some models.

SOURCE: Ewave OTR Microwave Oven, Model KOT-153UW. Light

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week or so.

At our Web site, you can get details of our service, plus we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

The lights can can be inoperable or stuck on or no bright, too. Sometimes this will similarly affect the exhaust fan operation or inside light, too.Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number from the tag on the unit) for more information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Turntable spigget arced & burned black even after wire brush cleaning arcing occurred on Hamilton beach microwave

If the turntable spigot on your Hamilton Beach microwave has arced and burned even after cleaning it with a wire brush, it indicates a potential issue with the electrical connection or the turntable motor. Here are a few steps you can take to address the problem:
  1. Disconnect Power: Before proceeding with any repairs, ensure that the microwave is completely disconnected from the power source to avoid any risk of electric shock.
  2. Inspect the Turntable Spigot: Carefully examine the turntable spigot for any signs of damage, such as burn marks or melted plastic. If the spigot is severely damaged, it may need to be replaced. Contact Hamilton Beach customer support or a qualified technician to inquire about replacement parts and proper installation.
  3. Check the Wiring: Inspect the wiring connections near the turntable motor for any loose, frayed, or damaged wires. If you notice any issues, they should be repaired or replaced by a professional technician to ensure safe operation.
  4. Test the Turntable Motor: The turntable motor may be faulty and causing the arcing issue. To test the motor, you will need a multimeter to check for continuity and proper functioning. However, this requires electrical knowledge and experience, so it's best to consult a qualified technician for assistance.
  5. Seek Professional Assistance: If the arcing issue persists after performing the above steps, it is recommended to contact Hamilton Beach customer support or a professional technician. They will have the expertise to diagnose the problem accurately and perform any necessary repairs or replacements.

Typically, you have the first 30 days to exchange a new purchase. I would pursue that avenue. If you bought it online, it's probably freight related. Try to file a claim..

If the microwave oven is less than 7 years old the problem is in the magnetron, " the most expensive part " or the inverter board, either way costly adventure, good for target practice.
