Your problem doesn't state what driver or device isn't working on your HP compaq 6720s, but all drivers for your laptop can be downloaded from www.hp.com for free. click on the support tab, type in your model number and you can download all of them.!
Power don the computer and try removing the BIOS battery, the rechargeable battery and the power cord for 10 min. This will erase the BIOS and re-set it to factory defaults, also clearing the BIOS password
they're hard. if you haven't done it before its not worth it. not only the front bezel need removing but the whole laptop ripped apart this is due to the bending in the design on the power plate.
