We have a 2009 honda pilot w a non fact installed dvd we think we have a blown we need to know which fuse to replace

Open your fuse centers (there's more than one, probably tow or three) and simply pull each fuse and check to see if it's blown. If so, replace with an identical fuse. You'll know it's blown becase the visible inside link will be broken.

i bet you didnt know there are 2 fuse boxes.

check all fuses in both boxes.

or read the drawings on alldata.com

see what fuse powers this acc. port.

the inverters suck big current and will blow a power port in jiffy

(read amps on inverter, and see, wow huge)

1000w is 83+ amps.

500w is 40 amps. both are fuse killers.

fuse that look bad are

fuses that look good, can in fact be bad, hair line cracks

use any ohm meter on low scale, 0ohms good. infinity bad.

to test any fuse.

My music player works perfectly in the last 2 years. Recently, there were no power, and the player just sits there useless. I am thinking it could be 'fuse' problem...not sure. I am not a mechanic or...

what is a music player,???? where is it plugged in to
if external to car, where, CIG lighter> and what?
the car did no have ipod ports in 1999 so, its not stock if it has ports.
something that came new with car?"STOCK"? or added, or what?
music, comes in only so many sources
1: cassette CD, DVD, DVD MP3
2: Am-FM radio. or SAT)
3: USB , stick with mp3 music (this is what i use )
4: jacked in (mini plug) Ipods or MP3 players of any kind.

and the fuses are in the cab fuse box. if car device factory stock
if not say so.

if fuses are good, post back, that they are or, ask how to test fuses
a tech knows , fuse that look good, can in fact be bad.
fuse that look bad, for sure are.
we use a DMM on ohms to test all suspected fuse. (100% accurate)

if the DEVICE , uses CIG power, and is dead, the CIG fuse is blown.

DVD player in honda odyessy won't eject disc or play

the first thing to check is the fuse associated with the dvd player. If it is blown then that is probably your problem. The fact that it blew means there is an electrical short somewhere that will need to be fixed. Otherwise, you will continue to blow fuses. If it is not blown then pull it out for 30 seconds and replace. Then try to operate your DVD.
