No backlighting I have a Toshiba Satellite M35X-S163. I hit the bumbed the back of the screen on accident. Everything on the laptop works ok but for some reason I have no backlighting. If you look at teh screen really close you can see everything is on but there is no backlighting. I took it apart and check all the connections for the screen and lcd invertor. What can i do to fix it?

You need to repalce the backlight/Screen altogether, or have someone do it for you. If the backlight has cracked then no amount of reconnecting will get it to work. Try one of the many Laptop repairers online to get a quote

Test usb port with another device,
check in my computer for the drive,
Test usb flash in another Pc,
Manufacturers website for a possible driver.
if still not working then it's faulty,

Putting in a disk drive
There are two screws holding in the hard drive on the bottom right side of the laptop. Once you take them out, the drive will slide out. It is in a bay that you will need to take apart (4 screws). Then put the new one in and slide it back in!
