From panasonic.net. The drivers are already included in Windows 7 so you use these drivers manually when you install the printer to your computer :)

I found this nice TrendNet cable that is offering that same functionality; so yes it is feasible, if not:

and use the above drivers mentioned and it should work no prob :)

It is quoting plug and play functionality though, so I would first just use whatever plug and play drivers get used, above would be windows 7 on an actual parallel port. :P

Panasonic IEEE 1284

Not sure what the question is. IEEE 1284 is a parallel cable interface, standard on most computers up until Windows XP for sure. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_1284. This interface was substantially replaced by USB. If you have an older printer with this interface you can still connect this to a newer computer without the parallel interface by installing an interface card (into a desktop computer) or connecting via a Parallel to USB adapter.

I bought a new HP computer and it didnt have a serial port included in it. I purchased a secondary PCI Express card that gave me two serial ports. They are programmed in as com port 1 &2. They show...

Serial connection eh? Any reason you went with serial instead of parallel? The cards likely sell for about the same price or you could just buy a USB to parallel cable that would allow you to hook up a USB port of your computer to the parallel port on the printer.

The reason that it looks like the job disappears is likely due to the fact that the serial bus is not supporting bidirectional printing so the printer cannot acknowledge that it has received the job.

Epson TM-T90 wont work with USB plug

I have the same problem...Epson does not work with a parallel to usb cable or adapter. If you still want to use this printer you will have to use the parallel port or change the interface on the printer to USB.

I would recommend buying a Printer parallel port connection (PCI to LTP1), install it into the system, and use the printer parallel cable.

connect the printer and the comp. and boot up....windows should recognize the new device.
did you add the plotter to "add printers" and its driver and to the correct port?
make sure your plotter is on and loaded and function key pressed.
also some cable manufacturers supply a driver...so download one if need be.
what software are you using? is the software cutter driver set to the correct printer and port?
(by default it never is)!!
