Monitor shows ''NO SIGNAL''

It possibly isn't getting a signal from your computer or other device. As a test, hook up a different monitor to see if the video signal is there.

Look for the power button/switch on the monitor

Well, at least you got it sorted out and everything is working fine now.

check all your cables leading from the computer to the monitor. the clicking is normal as the monitor looks for a signal from your computer, if it finds one it locks on. if it doesnt find a signal it clicks again going into standbye mode. the fact that its clicking shows its trying to find the signal.
the cables may be loose. the computer could have a setting too high for the monitors refresh rate.
do you see anything when the computer starts? or just a blank screen saying "no signal"?

Hi...

When you monitor saying which is no signal this is a monitor port problem. Check your monitor connector if it is properly connceted to the motherboard. That is the only way of monitor saying no signal.

do you have the switching anolog/digital thing?
that he doesnt know which he(t200) needs to pick?

The interface between the monitor and the cable might need replacement. Please check it.

It will do this when it's not getting a video signal from the computer. Make sure that the signal cable is firmly plugged in at both ends. Also verify that the computer is actually starting up. The monitor may not be getting a signal because the computer isn't sending any.

You can check at rear of the the monitor.
Sometime they assmbled the switch at the back of the Monitor.
May be that the switch is located there.

your monitor is telling you it's on it's last legs..either that or your compaq has a bad video section. either is more vital than a video cable being loose.
