Green blnking light on pioneer plasma - Picture does not come on

I went to turn on our pioneer plasma tv and a green blinking light comes on and no picture? Is there a simple fix and maybe a timer or something is on? Do I need a repair man?

Please Help with any suggestions!!

You can try a hard reset : Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV. Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on the TV and see if it works..

Good luck..

When I turn on my 50" Plasma TV the light goes from red to green. The Green LED flashes 14 times then solid. There is a white raster but no picture or sound.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. Plasma TV won't turn on green standbye light flashes

Unplug the tv, wait a minute and plug it back in. This might reset the unit. Who is the manufacturer? On pioneer plasma sets the colour and variations in the blinking light has a significance. Contact the manufacturer for more details.

Green spots/pixels at top of TV screen

I have a 50" Pioneer PDP-503MXE with the same problem - the fans don't run. It appears to be a problem with the temperature sensor that controls the fan speed. However, the fans can manually be switched to MAX.
To do this, put the display in standby. Press the 'Menu' button and within 3 seconds press the 'Power/Standby' button. The 'Integration Menu' will appear. Select the 'Option' tab on the right. Scroll down (next page) to the 'Fan Control' option. It will most likely be set to 'Auto'. Press 'Set' to change it to 'Max'. Within a few seconds the fans will run.
At Max the fans are a bit noisey but it will cool the unit down.

Problem with pioneer pdp-503HDE

Check that the system cables are properly plugged into the back of the plasma display and the media receiver. You may have knocked them whilst installing the DVD player.
