Turns on, tumbles, ingiter glows, but no heat.

Hello, I have an LG gas dryer model DLG0452W. Currently, it tumbles, the igniter glows but the gas valve never opens. The igniter will kick on for about 5 seconds, then kick off for about a minute or so then start glowing again for another 5 seconds. I have installed a new igniter and a new gas valve (which has the coils included as one unit). Still it continues this cycle of glowing for 5 seconds and then turning off. I have also checked all thermostats and limits and they all have continuity. I really have no idea what I can test/replace next. Any ideas/advice is welcome. Thank you in advance!

Check gas orifice for blockage. (Make sure gas is turned on obviously.)

SOURCE: LG Gas Dryer DLG0452W No

It appears that everything in the heating circuit is replaced except the igniter which glows and therefore also working fine. But with all of these, there's no voltage to the gas valves. Perform a gas valve wire harness and connector continuity check and also measure voltage right the PCB terminals going to the gas valves. Either voltage is not getting to the gas valves due to a loose/broken wire harness or the PCB is not sending voltage to the valves.

Well for starters VERIFY tons of air flow OUTSIDE of the building. To test, pull hose from back of machine, turn on and form opinion of air volume. Then hook back up, turn on machine, go outside and see if you have similar air flow. Commonly there is a restriction. This will cause thermal limiters to stop the heating.

Dryer heats for 5 minutes then no heat, but keeps tumbling

Perhaps the flame sensor is not working. If it does not sense heat, it will shut off the gas. You might go online and search for a manual to help you troubleshoot, or go to:

Hello! Yesterday we cleaned out our home dryer vents. Today the heat wil not come on in our kenmore elite dryer. It tumbles and blows cool air, just no heat. Suggestions? Thank you!

If you have a gas dryer, your problem is probably caused by the ingition panel.Generally, with a gas dryer, there is an ignition device that heats to a specific temperature and this causes the gas to ignite. When this electric ignition fails to work, the gas will not ignite and there will be no heat. I had this happen and had to call a professional. It was a simple matter of installing a new ignition device and it worked perfectly for years. I hope this helps! If it is a new dryer, check to see if this part might be covered under warranty. If this helps solve your problem, please come back to Fixya and rate my advice

Lg dlg0452w no heat, gas comes on for first 30

Sounds like the coils on the gas valve itself done by the igniter. When they get weak they can only hold the gas valve open for a short time. If you leave it long enough does the igniter come on but the gas not light? That is a sure sign the coils are weak. Sometimes they will even make a clicking sound as they try to open. They are pretty cheap and nearly all dryers use the same coils. They are little black cylinders mounted on top of the valve. Let me know that doesn't make sense.

Gas dryer tumbles no heat.

I would change out the igniter, When they start failing hey will glow but not draw enough amps to open the gas switch / valve.
