Loud speaker will not turn off when handset is in cradle

This is a business phone. When the handset is in the cradle the loud speaker turns on. When I try to turn it off it just gives the dial tone. When pressed again it will give the on hold music. I have tried everything. Taking cords out etc doesnt seem to help. When I change the phones over, it does the exact same thing!

You should contact your service provider and have them reset your phone line connection. They should be able to do it remotely.

Systeem 4/24 sl000

I think its always busy because it has a fault on that handset or its cradle. Swap the 2 over, and see if the problem moves to the new location, if it does the handset or cradle is faulty.

I was cleaning my phone and I pressed on something and now there is music playing that i can not stop,I don't know how to stop the music,my phone is panasonic KX-T7730

Here are two methods to turn off background music, one of these should work depending on which Panasonic phone system your phone is connected to.

1) With phone idle, press the 1 key on the dial pad (turns off background music when it is on and turns on background music when it is off).

2) With phone idle, press intercom button then dial *751 on the dial pad followed by 0 on the dial pad to turn off background music(confirmation tone will be heard) and end by lifting handset and replacing in cradle. To turn background music on, press intercom button then dial *751 on the dial pad followed by 1 or 2 on the dial pad to select the background music source(confirmation tone will be heard) and end by lifting handset and replacing in cradle.

My 2nd phone will ring bt the main one I can't seem to turn ringer on..Help Please

If this is the model I think it is, your phone line cord is pluged into the base of the main handset. So let me see if I'm understanding your problem...You have a single line phone with two handsets, and your remote handset rings, but the main handset at the base unit does not. Since your second handset rings when called, your line is working, and your unit's base is working, as well, or the other handset would not ring. Therefore your problem is within the handset itself. I will assume you've made sure the ringer is turned ON and the volume turned UP. Use the Menu button on the handset to find these variables and make sure the ringer is ON and turned UP. Place the handset on the charging cradle. Press the ON button WHILE the phone is on the cradle. You might have to use the speakerphone button to do this. This will resync your handet with its base.

Nortek T7100 crackling coming out of the speakers when handset is down.

It could be that the background music feature is turned on but doesn't have a misic player attached. Try entering in feature #86 while the handset is in its cradle.

My LCD Prostar 816 shows the Speaker light flashing rapidly. When I click on it, it takes me to an Internal Page screen. I can clear out of that, but I get the flashing Speaker light again. This happened...

Aflashinf speaker key indicates that the phone is fowarded. It's either call foward all calls or call foward on busy.
To cancel call forward all calls, press #11 (with the handset in the cradle), then press your own dss button or dial you own extension number (21-36), and press #.
Canceling call foward on busy uses the same steps but uses #12 instead of #11 for the first step.

The light on the speaker button flashes

Sounds like you might have accidently set call forwarding up. To cancel call forwarding, with the handset down in the cradle press #11.

AT&T 926 Corded phone

check for a button or sliding switch on the side, top,or bottom for the ringer on/off, [ some phones even have this switch on the back ] as for the speakerphone, you may have to push the speakerphone button, then put the handset back on the cradle for the speakerphone to work.
hope this helps.
