To adjust the display lines justification on an Aastra M5316 phone, you can follow these steps:
Press the "Menu" key on the phone.
Use the arrow keys to scroll to the "Contrast" option and press the "Select" key.
Use the arrow keys to adjust the contrast of the display until the lines are fully visible.
Press the "Next" key to scroll to the "Line Justify" option and press the "Select" key.
Use the arrow keys to adjust the line justification until the lines are properly centered on the display.
Press the "Save" key to save your changes and exit the menu.
If you continue to have issues with the display lines justification on your Aastra M5316 phone, you may want to try resetting the phone to its default settings. Depending what system your provider is using it can either be done by you at home or they will have to set it. If you call your provider they will help you or they will fix it. Each ring is set at 6 second intervals so if you have 3rings that is 18 seconds. If you was 6 rings then ask for 36 seconds etc. hope this helps
The phone can get some power from the loop like a basic telephone. That should suffice to make phone calls.
But many of the advance features and display options cannot work on loop power alone. You have to get a special plug that plugs into the wall AND the phone jack. Then plug the phone into that.
If that model phone has a rj14 jack ( standard phone jack) and when you plug it into a known good wall jack and you can draw dial tone then it will work. If not it requires a KSU to interface with the lines and that's a lot more equipment than you need for 1 or 2 lines. Thank you. Jer
