first question
have you turned the gas supply on?

it could be a thermostat problem as it controls the gas valve settings
As it is gas , call in the gas technician for the unit and have it diagnosed and fixed properly

This gas unit requires the burners to be ignited by holding the knob to ignite on the control panel until the flames arise. Then you can adjust the flames to higher, or lower, heights. Also, the oven should be a simple turn to the temperature wanted and wait approximately 20-30 minutes for a preheat to occur. If this does not happen you are possibly not receiving enough gas to the unit or you have an ignitor concern.

First, Change your technician.
There is a part that senses the heat from the ignited gas, usually quite close to the flame on the oven burner where it first ignites. It is called a generator and it produces about 1/3 of a volt, that holds the gas valve open only while the flame is lit, as a safety device. Pressing the knob at the time of ignition bypasses this by holding the valve open, after releasing the knob then the system relies on the presence of an oven flame to hold the valve open. Check the generator at the point it enters the oven control valve, is it loose? Maybe it is faulty or the oven valve is faulty. Any real technician can identify the the problem easily.

If your oven is 20 years old the temperature sensor system might no longer be accurate, if you have access to a temperature measuring device that can confirm that the oven is not reaching 350 then run it up and check that its not just your indicator light system. Turn on the gas knob for the oven (below the grill)
You will see an ignition button below the one that switches on the oven light,it is clearly marked.
Press in and hold the gas knob and press ignite button,you will see the safety bar flame light,when the safe to operate temperature is reached,the oven will stay lit after you release the gas supply knob.
Set oven temperate guage (gas mark 4 is approx electric 200 degrees,thats all there is too it

There has to be a protection system in the burner assembly to cut the supply of gas to the burner if it does not light. For the case of an oven the supply must be cut off immediately if the burner and its pilot go out. For that gas control system to work the burner control must "recognize" with a sensor when the burner is lit and when it is not. Pushing the knob "in" momentarily on this model bypasses the protection system momentarily to allow a burner to be ignited in the first place. If releasing the knob extinguishes the flame the control system is not "seeing" the flame. I tried to find some detail info on you particular ignition system but to no avail so all I can offer is a general approach to these kinds of problems . You need to find and clean or replace the sensor used to detect a flame. It could be an optical one (doubt that) or a temperature flame sensor, a thermocouple sensor, or some other kind I haven't thought of. Fixing this problem involves first determining what kind of sensor it uses. A copy of a service manual for this model can help you determine that. Try to clean the flame detector, and if that doesn't work you have to replace it or the gas control assembly it is a part of. If you have a spark ignition and its not sparking when it should first clean it --carefully--. Spilled food can short them out. Unplug the range before doing this. The owners manual shows it to be under the top burners which can be removed for cleaning this.
