Since you have purchased the book and it's not working or refuse to sync, then it means its not compatible. SI would advice you ask for a refund or ask the site to give you a book that would be compatible.
To contact the owners of the website for a refund, check the top of down part of the site, you will find "Contact Us". Click the contact us and you will find a e-mail address and phone number. Contact the site and they should either refund your money or give you a book that would be compatible.

You will most likely need to buy a new one. I looked online for a replacement screen and I could not find one.
