Do you have any OBD codes? If so, what are they? If not, it is probably something mechanical like a bad torque converter or valve body.

Usually it will make noise like ice in a blender. But it may fail to provide as much pressure as originally designed. This would make the engine rev to produce the same speed.

I want to know where the catayltic converters are on my 02 taurus and how to remove them fast quick and easy because im scrapping my car.

Exhaust leaking? Might just be bad catalytic converters or low quality fuel.Get it checked because winter is when people get monoxide poisoning more often. don-ohio
