I have a Brookstone digital picture frame that stopped working

When the unit is powered on.. the status bar looks like it completes it cycle and then the screen displays a large INSERT MEDIA
display. Which is interesting because I have my pictures loaded in their memory. That message INSERT MEDIA is not even mentioned in the little users guide. When I insert the SD card it doesn't recognize it either.
The SD card is good. !!
When I connect the frame to my computer via USB, I can view pictures that are in the frames memory.. and downloaded a few more pics
but I can't get the frame to get past the innsert media display..

I have encountered this same error on the frame I bought 2 years ago. I saved the pictures to a backup and then reformatted the frame - this didn't work - does anyone have any other solutions???

First of all try another power unit and if you did so and it still not working I think that maybe micro fuse inside burned off and you must open the cover to see it

try to see if you have a reset hole in the back or sides if not then try to reconect the battary or to empty the battary .

Unit works, except the pictures have a purple look to them

It seems there is a problem with your LCD TFT screen.

It is hard to replace a LCD screen by yourself.

A new one is better than repaired one.

WHERE CAN I GET SERVICE ON A MODEL DPF15K DIGITAL PICTURE FRAME?

i have had the same problem and i have resolved the problem as following : - measure the output tension on the external power unit ... she must be 12v ... on my unit i had 10v!!! - open it (it's difficult but not impossible) ... look at the 2 condensers 1000uF 16v ... change them and you will retrevie the 12v output and your frame picture. - an another solution is to buy a another 12v-3A external unit

Brookstone acuvibe soft touch massager

The current unit sold by Brookstone does not have a power cord. The unit is sealed and the battery is not replaceable. Many units eventually quit working when recharging cycle quits. Only solution is to replace the unit or contact Brookstone for their service center. Probably cheaper to replace the unit.

cheap **** - Really Brookstone? No reset? No way to format? Crappy warranty? Poor workmanship? No software that resizes your images so they won't crash your picture frame? screw you guys, I'm never shopping here again
