I have the Sony Bravia KDL-46S4100. The high-picthed hiss drives me insane. I have a work around but not a fix. Go into your TV's menu and find BACKLIGHT. Adjust it from 1-9 with the house quiet and find what frequency of the hiss is the least annoying.

Panasonic TV does not play through surround speakers

so it is a connections problem I think. Check if video and audio cables are properly connected. Use color codes as your guide. Also from menu check if all settings are ok. Good luck

Turned the tv on in the afternoon sound not working nothing I tried would give it any sound, turning the volume up just made a loud hiss.

Several possibilities.
I am assuming that you have no stereo system hooked up to your TV. In the event you do, then go to menu on TV and make sure your TV speakers are off.
Did you hit the mute button on your remote by accident? Need more info on brand of TV and what you have in the way of inputs to your TV. cable? DVD? HDMI? With limited info, cant do much for you but good luck.

My speakers are not working. They turn off and on and sometimes make a loud hissing sound. What should I do?

Hello Miranda, Hi, looks like its an amplifier problem, you see the hissing loud sound means that the amplifier section is bad. the amplifier is usually an integrated circuit, this needs replacement, the job can be done by a desoldering the part and replace by another IC. Have this checked by a technician.

No audio or sound

I'll assume you mean you want audio from the TV to enter the unnamed 'rca dvd and souround system ' as that is where audio should all converge.

For this purpose you should have an RCA audio cable pair running from the FIXED AUDIO L and R outputs to any available input on the unnamed audio electronics. If you use(d) the VARIABLE AUDIO outputs the TV's volume control would affect the sound at the electronics end.

Loud hissing from speakers

it could be the lead, so try replacing that it is highly unlikely that it is the tv so i would take the DVD player back to the store.

Logitech x530 hissing noise

I had the same problem for the longest time with my set of Logitech 540 5.1 speakers. Turns out the solution was pretty simple. All I did was open the Master Volume controller and mute the Microphone. Hissing went to zero. Sound is great now.
