Could be a result of any of the accidents they warn you about in the manual. Heat, cold, direct sunlight, dropping, water or magnetic feild. does it take a picture?
You only can do little when you want to "reset" some settings. Like restoring default settings (page 58 of the manual) You can put back the shooting menu (Page 152 of the manual) and reset custom settings (Page 157 of the manual) If something went wrong while updating the firmware, you should try to contact the service centre closest to you.
It doesn't reset everything, but there is a "Reset All" command in the Setup menu. Press the MENU button, then the wrench and then "Reset All." This reset leaves the date/time, white balance, language, and video mode alone.
Try this...go into the menu and try to find an entry for "reset" to get back to factory default settings. Then, assuming you've safely downloaded any pics from the card, insert it into the camera, go into the menu and find "format"....follow the on-screen instructions to erase and optimize the card. Let me know how this works for you.
Do a firmware update. This phone uses FOTA technology that allows doing the firmware update straight on the phone, downloading firmware directly from Nokia server.
To do the update:
Select Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone updates
Try also replacing the SIM card for a while to test if problem was SIM card. A defective SIM can cause similar problems.
If that does not work, try:
Select Menu > Settings > Rest. factory sett.
That will reset phone to factory, data and addresses won't be deleted.
Yes you can. Go to the menu and choose tools on the left side(the wrench) in this list you'll see "Reset All" and this will set you back to your factory defaults. Thanks, Dana
Hello howzat11,
I'd like to introduce you to your manual via download. The download is 18.5 megs large. Go to page 133 and visit the two button reset page. It's available for download from: http://www.starbatteries.com/index.html. Look at camera manuals and have fun.
