Computer does not show MP3 player as connected and how to stop a song playing

Have just got a Sansa e250 for Xmas and when I plug into USB port it only shows as "MTP device" in My Computer. When I click on it I am told I do not have permission to access this device. So I can't download music or anything. Also I tried playing the music that came on the MP3 player and don't know how to stop a song while it is playing.

If you installed the firmware update, you might have forgotten to change the device to MSC mode.. try going to settings>USB mode>MSC This should probably work.. to stop a song while its playing, click the |<< button while you have the screen with the current song. (you can pause a song on this same screen with the >|| button) If you have gone back to any of the menu screens, wait for a couple seconds and the player will automatically go back tot he song display screen so you can stop the song.

My sansa e250's USB port dos not shows up on MY COMPUTER/ON DRIVE :F and when i...

One of the typical problems people run into with MP3 players is that they lose the software that came with the player and can't figure out how to get music on or off the player. So here's a quick how to. This will work with most brands of MP3 players, or even USB flash drives.

First you need to plug it in to the USB port, if you are running anything newer than windows 98 you won't need a driver. Double click on my computer and it shows up as a removable disc(usually drive letter f:), double click this drive to open it as folder. This folder will show you all directory's and files on your player, here you can delete any songs on your player by finding the file and deleteing it. From here you can also put your music onto the player by copying and pasting your music files from your hard drive. If you are not sure where your music is located you can run a search by clicking START>SEARCH>FOR FILES OR FOLDERS (if you are running XP click pictures music or video, check music then click search, each file will have it's location in small print below it's name, or you can right click each song and hit copy, then go back to f: drive and right click and hit paste, you can copy more than one). Hope this helps.

My sansa player does not play.. It will not charge completely. When inserting it into the computer the screen says connected but it never fully charges.

Most Sansa require a high-power USB port in order to charge. Try connecting it to one of the USB ports on the back panel of your computer.

Sansa E 250 bad track

On your e250, go to the "Settings" menu, select "USB Mode", and set it to "MSC". Then connect your e250 to your computer. It show up under My Computer as a "removable disk". Right click on it and select "Format". Click on the "Start" button, making sure that Quick Format is NOT checked. Wait for the formatting to complete, unplug your e250, wait for it to reboot (or force it to reboot if necessary), plug it back in, and copy your songs back onto it.

Sansa e250...computer will not detect

If you are using a USB connector [that connects extra ports to your computer] it sometimes doesnt work... so if possible hook the USB sansa cable to the main ports in the back of the server. It might also work to hook it in, and then go to 'My Computer' and see if it shows up there. Good Luck =]

Sansa Fuze wont work with home stereo

The Sansa doesn't play music through the USB port. You can connect the Sansa to your stereo via the Sansa's headphone jack.

Sansa E250 how do I put songs onto the mp3

Go to My Computer and then look for the Sansa 250 icon there. If it doesn't show up, unplug the USB cord and plug it in again. Once you have the icon visible in My Computer, click on it twice and open it up. To load content, go to wherever you have MP3 files or whatever and use Windows Explorer to copy the content from your computer to the Sansa. You can also manage it through Real Player or other MP3 players (Media Monkey).

Cannot delete the songs on mp3

I do mine through Windows Media Player
1)Plug in Sansa
2)Open up Windows Media Player and wait for the Sansa e250 icon to show up under the library. First time, might say 'What device is this' or 'Autoplay'-for autoplay, you click 'sync media files to Sansa e250 using WIndows Media Player'
3)When library shows, click 'Sync' if it is not already there.
4)Just simply click and drag the songs you want from the computer library to the list pane on the side.
5)Once your done, click 'Sart sync'

TO DELETE
1)Plug in
2)Wait for the icon under Library in WIndows Media Player
3)Go to Songs under Sansa e250
4)Right click desired songs and choose Delete. You only want to delete from Sansa e250-nothing else
