Problem in my built in web cam

there is nothin for on n off just install devise driver
and software for cam , try it

try and install the right driver for this device ...that's why it says this ...it sees all wrong ...the issue with windows 7 is that does not have drivers for cameras or elder devices....if it is a built in camera ....just try to get in touch with the manufacturer and see if there is any drivers for the camera ...also ...you can try the driver for vista on 64 ...usually works ..but this is not a rule...
if there is no other chance ..until the driver will appear on the internet ...just get another camera with driver compatible with this operating system ...or roll back to vista or xp ...cause this oS is not that great anyway ...its slow...hard t use...and strange...

In order to work with Phillips Cam you should first install the Driver Program, if you don't have a Cd driver for Phillips here's the website were you can download the driver:

In this page you have to choose what operating system, you'll find this option at the lower part of this page, Software and Drivers
Download the driver and install the program and then try to run again the Phillips Webcam

If its vista just press start and type in "camera assistant software"and press it.

I would assume this is a built in web-cam. Normally a web-cam software comes installed on your computer and all you need to do start the software and the web-cam will start. Or you may use this link to get a free web-cam software. http://www.eyespyfx.com/my_webcam_broadcaster.htm
Note, if the web-cam is not a built in web-cam this will work a bit differently.

Is it built-in? or externally connected? what make / model web cam is it? Could it need a software cd installed with driver software to make it work?

your webcam is external or built-in in your laptop? just plug your webcam and it will automatically detect by wyour windows and will be ask a driver for installation of your webcam....if you have a cd driver of your cam insert it to cd-drive and follow the instructions on your screen...

try reinstalling the software and driver for it from the acer web site at

The acer web site has windows xp and vista drivers

you might have to install both the bison & orbicam driver & application software since there no easy way to tell what one you have built in

Mouse pad jumping can be common symptom of Synaptics pads (is it Synaptics?) - look for driver and install it.
Also, try switching it on from off and do NOT touch the pad for several minutes.
Common symptom when people just use very light pressure on mouse pad within first few minutes. Latest driver should fix.
also try pressing whole palm down on touchpad for several seconds - this can reset the software on some touchpads.
As for webcam, disconnect it, uninstall drivers, re-install drivers and then re-connect it. If it is built in then go to Device Manager - Hardware and find the device - click on uninstall driver - then re-install the driver.

I think ur laptop webcam driver not installed properly.If ur laptop have windows vista operating system then do these steps.
Goto Start - Programs - Recovery Manager - Recovery Manager.In that recovery manager,click on next.Its shows the Software reinstallation page.Click on next button two times.Its shows the software lists.Select the webcam software and click on next button.After reinstallation completed , u restart laptop and check it.
If ur laptop have windows XP operating system then u uninstall the webcam software through Add/Remove program and restart it.After restarting ,Reinstall the web cam software and check it. If u doesnt have webcam drivers then u go for nearest service centre and install it.
