Husqvarna YTH2348 just quits while mowing...

We have a Husqvarna YTH2348 rider that as of today, just kind of stops and shuts down while mowing. This has happened 3 or 4 times today, we let it sit and cool, and then it starts again for awhile before it quits. Now I do have to admit that this is the first mow of the season, the grass is VERY tall so it's kind of doing the job of a bushwhacker right now. It doesn't smoke, or appear to overheat, it acts like it's getting too much/not enough fuel. How do you check this? We can't find the manual, my husband isn't real handy, and I don't want to pay someone $100 just to look at it and tell us the battery is dead. Ideas? Thanks for your help!

I have a Husqvarna YTH2348 that I bought from Lowe's last summer. As I was mowing today it suddenly started to vibrate excessively. I believe the problem is in the transaxle. When the brake is engaged...

There are usually one or two idler pulleys on the belt that runs from the engine to the transmission. Check those, more than likely one has gone bad. the should spin freely with the brake engaged, and the should not wobble.

There is a big, wrap-around lifting bar in the front of my Husky used to raise the engine assembly off the mowing deck but I can't figure out how to free the engine assembly so I can pivot it up to expose...

most rideons have the deck assembly able to be removed without too much work.usually release any spring tension, then spring clips holding the arms on,then usually you can disconnect the belts and slide the whole deck out sideways, from under the rider.

Was mowing when it just stopped going forward. It won't go forward or backward. Husqvarna Lawn tractor 48"

Under the mower below the seat of the rider, at the rear of the tractor, look up and you will find the transmission there. There is a belt that runs on the pulley under there, and this belt can slip off when it gets worn or stretched. Sort of a tough spot to get to but, that is most probably cause.

Let me know,

Have a 48' 23 hp husqvarna lawnmower, it drives fine, but when I go uphill it slows down quite a bit. Why?

Same reason a person slows down when he is riding a bicycle up a hill?
Does the engine nearly die when you engage the blades on the fly?
If so you may have a dead cylinder, my 2148 would mow on the flat pretty well but not an incline with one cylinder. Cause of my dead cylinder was bent pushrods, which is not unusual on V-Twin B&S. You can test this by pulling one spark plug wire off at a time and running it.

My lawnmower quit mowing.

It depends on whether its a lever or pushbutton engage model? it may be a broken belt or a simple wire connection come loose. If you want to stay friends tell them mowers are repairable/replaceable but friends arent!
