Pull a stick of RAM so the motherboard sees a "hardware configuration change" and power the unit up. If you see the keyboard lights flash, power the system back down, re-insert your RAM stick, and power back up.

SOURCE: PLEASE

it's the driver that the motherboard need to make use of the PCI slots, so as you can connect cards into the slot, otherwise the cartd would not work.

As E210822 is not a good intel number, go here and find your motherboard

SOURCE: Boot up beep codes, intel d845glly

here is a list of all beep codes : http://www.cas411.com/ShowArticle.aspx?ID=54
try to identify the beep pattern, it should tell you what's wrong. Most of the time, it's a bad memory stick.

SOURCE: Won't boot, display stuck at Intel desktop board, can't go to BIOS

I had this exact same problem, turns out i just needed to unplug a couple USB devices that were conflicting with the startup. It worked inexplicably well. If you have an external HD i'd start by unplugging that, then other accessories.

Bios update for t5226... intel update will not work.. some people say it is locked by emachines. i am trying to put an e8400 in it, but i don't think that the processor is supported by the older bios...

It isn't the fact of the BIOS, it's the motherboard chipset.
The eMachines T5226 uses an Intel 945G.

This chipset only supports processors with up to a 1066MHz FSB.

Supporting Data:

1) eMachines T5226 specifications;

http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T%20Series&model=T5226

2) List of Intel Chipsets, and more specifically the Pentium 4/Pentium D/Pentium EE chipsets,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_chipsets#Pentium_4.2FPentium_D.2FPentium_EE_Chipsets

The Intel 945G is the 12th one down, or last in the list.
Looking across to the right, you can see the Intel processors supported, and the maximum FSB support.
(533/800/1066)

The motherboard's BIOS also won't let you overclock the FSB.

The Intel Core 2 8400 has a 1330MHz FSB,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_Core_2_microprocessors#.22Wolfdale.22_.2845_nm.29

The Intel 945G also won't support Intel processors with the Wolfdale Core.

If not, we are talking about energy problem. Try fitting the energy cord firmly, try connecting the battery charger in a different power outlet.
