It's most likely the tube that leads from the freezer to the drain pan for the defrosting cycles.

SOURCE: The water dispenser bar on my side by side

Hi Cranberry,

The part your looking for is #8201537. You can see it here.

Threading it through the door is simple if you know the secret to it. First you need to go to hardware store and get something like this about an inch, inch and a quarter. Take a piece of 1/4" tubing with you to make sure the "all-thread" will screw into the tubing snugly.

Now, screw the all-thread into the spout end of the existing tubing (the one in your fridge right now) about half the length of the all-thread. Then take the tail end of the new tubing and thread it onto the left over stub of all-thread.

Open both doors and remove the bottom grill (it's snapped in place) then close the doors. Below the freezer door hinge, you'll see the tubing coupling. Disconnect it and remove the ferrule for use on your new tubing later. Now at the same time, begin pushing the tubing from the top and pulling it from the bottom.

SOURCE: fridge is one week old both water and ice have a

Did you throw away the first full bucket of ice it made? Also, check the filter and make sure it doesnt have anything in it. Most with water and ice have an inline filter in the fridge portion.

We own a Kenmore Side by side refrigerator, model #253.54622406. The water has stopped coming out of the water dispenser in the door. What could cause this?

if the ice is opperating normaly listen for a click or humm from the water valve if nothing it may be the switch first check for power at the valve when switch depressed if present replace the valve if valve has power and you hear it oppening and closing it or the line to the dispenser may be plugged. if no ice either check the water supply to the fridge and the filter in the fridge if there is one.

My Samsung RS253BAWW has been collecting water underneath the bottom drawer for some time now. It eventually winds up in the drip tray underneath and then runs out onto the floor. I've replaced the...

Depends if there is plastic tubing running inside fridge compartment. Shut off water to fridge. If that stops it you will have to look inside to see if there is visible plastic water tubing or if you can get to it from inside the fridge. Maybe the water line has a defect or got pinched and somehow split. Then turn on water, find leak and splice in a replacement section.

There is a bad order coming from ice and water dispenser. I changed the filter but it didn't help. Smells like ''dirt''. Thanks, Linda

Replace water supply line with the plastic tubing ice maker line. It fixed mine that had a metal braided line on it that made the water taste kie rubber and dirt,, after that I tried a vinyl braided line.and it made the water taste like garden hose water.. The plastic tubing was the cure. Reply and tell me what you have.

Superba Fridge 1998 KSRS25Q???WH01

We had this problem with our ice maker. We could get water through the door water dispenser but it stopped making ice.
We had read that the line could be frozen and that was the case.
The easiest way to thaw it out was to remove the two screws holding the water hose elbow into the back of the freezer (pull the fridge out away from the wall to access it). It will come out with about a 5-6 inch long hard plastic tube which goes through the back freezer wall and joins with an aluminum tube (which may also be plugged with ice) that reaches the ice maker. Looking inside the tube we could see the ice blockage. Heating it up with a hair dryer made the ice plug drop right out. We had tried to thaw it out by heating the tube inside the freezer, but the ice plug was actually in the wall part of the freezer and we wouldn't have been able to thaw it out from the inside (short of shutting the refrigerator off). When the heat was applied...a 3 inch plug of ice dropped out of the tube, and there was even a very small piece of ice blocking the elbow part. We wouldn't have been able to thaw that area out without taking it apart.

''GE tfx28ppcb fridge has water puddle usually on right side

I had the same problem, I found that the plastic tubing feeding the water despendor and icemaker was run right along the comperssor, over tiem the from exposure to the heat the tubing had become brittle and cracked.  the black tube shiled had to slid up to expose the cracked tube. A  new tub installed and splice to existing dispensor feed line fixed probelm.

Older maytag fridge side by side.

Buk, there's supposed to be a drain pan under your fridge to catch the water that comes from the drain tube. The water that's coming out is supposed to be there (only, it's supposed to be caught by the drain pan)... it's the water that's made when your fridge defrosts itself. If you plug the tube, the water will back up inside the fridge , puddle up in the bottom and eventually leak out through the door.

You should order a drain pan for it. Here's a link to one online. After you have it in place, you won't have to worry about it anymore. The water that collects there will simply evaporate back into the air.
